It's quite possible. but if you can't do the time dont do the crime. No sympathy from me.

None from me either I can assure you.
He'll be out before next xmas with or without a wooden overcoat...British justice, eh.
How many years does he have to serve now ?

///Stuart Hall has been sentenced to an extra two years and six months in jail///

///His original 15-month sentence, for abuse that occurred between 1967 and 1985, was later doubled at the Court of Appeal.///

It doesn't say if the sentence is to be served consecutive to his current term or concurrent to it. If concurrent he'll be out before a year is up.
According to the Guardian, "Hall was sentenced to 12 months for the offence to which he admitted and an additional 18 months for the indecent assault of which he was convicted by the jury. He will serve half of the new sentence in custody before he is released on licence."
He may not die in prison then.
I'd say unlikely. A serious enough medical condition and he'd be out in a shot.

Manchester Evening News

///Stuart Hall has been sentenced to another two years and six months in prison ... The judge ordered it should be consecutive to the prison sentence he is already serving///
Thanks Graham.
At the risk of playing devil's advocate, there's no denying he deserves to serve every minute, but isn't 2 and a half years an excessive amount for that particular crime?

I'm not defending him, I'm just asking a question as one often hears of criminals who commit similar crimes appear to get probably 12 months less?

We are not aware of the inner thoughts of the Judge when he came to sentencing chili, but I would think that it was Halls continual abuse of girls and women over such a long career that swayed his hand.
