I advertised an item to be sold with payment via paypal. As it was,the winning bidder lived local to me and asked to pay cash on collection. Does anyone know how to update the item as 'paid' as the paument element of transaction not gone via ebay/ paypal. ( or is this not allowed?!)
Thanks

If you go to the item listing and the drop down menu on the right of it, on your activity page, there's an option for "mark as payment received" - you just click on that.

Thanks boxtops easier than I though it might be!
Go into your "Sold" list and click on "More actions" next to the item. One of the options is "Mark as payment received".
But also send the buyer an invoice with the postage on it altered to zero, otherwise eBay will charge you their 10% on the originally-quoted postage. An invoice is the only way to prevent that.
bert, I never thought of that - that's a handy hint, since the fee processes changed.
