Hi All
Something strange has happened overnight. I was watching sky news today and when the adverts came on i pressed the sky guide button to see what was on tonight, up until last night you could still hear the adverts in the background but now there is nothing. I phoned sky today and they went through the reboot but it's still the same. The lady was unsure what i meant and it took 5 attempts at different things before she gave up. Does any answerbankers know what could have gone wrong

This happened on my upgrade and I was incredibly glad as I normally mute when I go onto TV guide. It always used to be like this many years ago as well. I think its an intentional part of the upgrade, not a fault.

Oh bushbaby, i so want it back
See where you're going wrong is watching things live so that you have to entertain yourself when the adverts are on. I record everything I watch and even if I want to watch it live I wait ten minutes, then I can fast forward through all the adverts so I don't need to hear when the program comes back on!

Thats exactly what i do. I never watch any of my regular programmes live cos i cannot do with the adverts but i cannot understand why the sound as gone off overnight
someone like me who works at Sky obviously thought it was an improvement and didn't realise there are people like you who would really miss it. I'd really rather they worked on making their series links etc work properly than tinkering with little things like that, don't you think so?! I wonder what other little gremlins we'll discover over the next few weeks...

I hope your not being sarcastic there Bushbaby. I came on here to ask for some advise and it seems to me that you are being a tad nasty. If you work at Sky - please pass on my complaint. BECAUSE I WANT MY SOUND BACK. Surely it is up to us as individuals to choose whether we want sound on or of. We should have the choice.
I wasn't being nasty or rude at all, just being a bit silly that's all. It obviously didn't translate well so sorry for any offence caused. I don't work for sky, was just pointing out that for every person who wishes they had the sound back (like you) there is someone who is glad it's gone (like me).
