OH has said he'll pay for a college course for me. I haven't got a clue what I want to do.

Depends if you are doing it for interest or as a potential career.

For interest I'd go for a Cordon Bleu cookery course - I did one years ago & it's still one of the best things I ever did.

For career I've no idea - both of my careers came from complete fluke opportunities rather than any plan ...

I knew someone who used to love cooking and baking, once she trained as a chef and got a job she soon grew to hate it. She claimed there was a world of difference in cooking for pleasure and as a career.
Furniture restorer. I love working with quality wood.
