Iam able to access and use internet but problem am having is after logging in.
I go to email and click on read email as I see there is unread mail only to have the screen freeze and telling me windows internet explorer is not responding.
I have to close it all down to re start to then usually be able to restore matters on the 2nd or 3rd try.Husbands email is fine so not sure where this silly problem comes from.

Then if like now when I finish posting this here ,I come out of this site and return to my email the same problem arises despite having just used my email.

This started suddenly about 5 days ago.Any suggestions as the help for microsoft doesn't rectify this. Many thanks.

For the techs here to help you, you need to list your operating system (Windows version?) and what mail client you are using, Outlook (express etc.) or web based mail client (hotmail, gmail etc).

Is your husband using the same method/program/computer to get to his mail?
So are you trying to access webmail? A well known one like Yahoo?
What version of IE is it (top .. help ... about)
Do you do Windows updates?
Do you clean up PC at all? Temp Folders/Temp Internet Files, etc?

using aol mail although aol isn't my provider.Husband is exactly the same but no problem with his,Problem having is that page freezes when try and read or send or do anything with email. JUst have to close and try again and am told windows internet explorer isn't responding.Have windows xp.Internet seraches are fine and my gmail ok.
So you only have this problem reading AOL .. for certain?

Unfortunately, AOL is like a virus .. on the system and it's resources.
I think you should have a look through the AOL site help pages about rebuilding the AOL data store folders/files on your computer. I think one or more may be corrupted.
I'll take a look when I have more time tomorrow.
