I'm not sure if this is the right section but what uses do you have for baking soda? I like to clean my cups with it, steeped in some water overnight.

Clean blocked sinks? A couple of tea spoons, a drop of vinegar, and put the plug in.
I'm not sure about baking soda but I use bicarbonate of soda quite a bit.

I use that for cleaning all sorts from the shower curtain and the fridge to my tired eyes.
An egg cup full in the fridge is supposed to stop any nasty odours! Don't know if it works, but I've got one in mine and it doesn't smell.

Sorry, I mean Bicarbonate of soda. I used the american term.
2 teaspoons in a flask, top up with boiling water, leave overnight. Flask will be sparkling.
adding to vinegar with red colour dye in and creating a volcano
Mix it to a paste and clean the oven.
If you are a smoker, as I am....Dip your toothbrush in it and clean your teeth. Have a look at the labels on tubes of toothpaste....Some of them contain bi-carb.

Other uses could be:-

Reducing smells in all sorts of contexts e dust onto armpits like talcum powder.
To relieve bee stings
One which doesn't seem to have been mentioned, but came with the instructions for my fridge/freezer, which is now over 25yrs old.

After defrosting..wipe all over the inside with a cloth that has been wrung-out in a solution made up of...one teaspoonful of bi-carb to a pint of boiling water.

It not only sterilises the plastic surfaces but also gives them back a shine.

Sorry ...my error...Maidup, did make reference to using it to clean a fridge.

Baking traditional bread.
Half a tea spoon of bi-carb in a cup of warm water cures heartburn.
I agree with Wak, it's the best cure for heartburn (if you can stand the taste!)
I believe it's also one of the ingrediants for crack cocain.
I've just been reading that you can also use it (mixed to a paste with castor oil) to remove warts and body moles!
This has awakened a long dormant memory. Back in the 50s it was common to find plastic toys in cereal packets. I once got a little plastic submarine out of a packet of cornflakes. To propel it you had to put some baking powder (bicarb) in a little hole at the bottom. My mother had none so she sent me down the street to my great aunt's so that I could float my boat in her sink.
You can use it for steeping hard peas overnight
An old 35mm film container with vinegar and bicarb in can have an amusing/explosive effect when the lid is put and is passed to a friend.
