Carpet Steam Cleaners

I am thinking of buying one, it not only cleans carpets, but tiles hard floors, sounds really good! anyone got one? what do you think of them please?....

my daughter borrowed one off her best mates mum to clean the suite she got off her fiance to be's best mate and it was amazing

Thanks dotty, I am tempted to buy one, but they sound too good to be true, no need for a cleaning agent!..........just steam!.............think I may give it a try!....

and they dry really quickley (sp) (can never spell that) which at this time of year is a bonus

Yes Dotty, it said that, always a plus, don't want wet carpets picking up dirt when just cleaned!.............think I'll give it a go!.........thanks for the info..............

Here's another posting Welsh, although not giving an answer, just interested. I had something like that years ago but not so efficient by the sound of it. All the girls in the office borrowed it and found it excellent, but they have got even better over the years.

Just out of interest? If these machines don't suck up air or water, where does the dirt go if you just blow steam at it?????
