Please can someone help me!

My husband has accidentally scratched the plastic glove compartment in my NEW car and I was hoping someone could suggest any ways I could remove/cover up/disguise the scratch?  PLEASE!

Just rub it a bit with a damp cloth.  After all, it's just a car, get over it!

Just read ther following tip for scratches on plastic/perspex on Tipking:

http://www.tipking.com/tip/2797.html

Just discovered the link doesn't take you to the page I read. Basically, the tip was as follows:

To remove light scratches from plastic or perspex, rub in a little lighter fluid in a circular motion

Brasso, the metal polish work well on acrylic

You may be suprised how cheaply you could replace the cover (if thats what is damaged) what year and model is it ?.

How much of a scratch is it really?

Could you not go to Halfords or similar and buy a `no smoking` sticky-on sign to put over it?

Hi. what will work better, lighter fluid or Brasso ? got a scratch on my tv, the shiny plastic below the screen
