My bathroom basin pipe is blocked. Have removed s-bend and trap. pipe seems to be blocked just below floor. It's full of water and when I push small bendy wire pipe rod down, it hits something hard and won't budge. Any ideas?

A good attempt at diagnosis, but it might be that you are merely hitting the far-side of the cross-piece of a T-joint that the pipe feeds into (the T-piece should be a swept-T, one that feeds the flow into the mainstream - but it might not be).
Do you know where your pipework goes next?

No. i think it may go under the bath and then into the soil pipe from there.
So the bath is draining freely? If you can get the side panel off, maybe you can try and force aforementioned 'small bendy wire' back up there the reverse way?
Blockages up basin soil-pipes don't happen too often - not much else than water goes down it.
Is it 'completely blocked' - as in water level doesn't shift over several hours? If not, let it drain out (over several days if necessary) then pour some undiluted drain cleaner down there. This stuff is dangerous - relatively concentrated suphuric acid - but it eats away at the blockage without touching either sanitaryware or UPVC pipework. But these no point unless you can get the acid close to the blockage - it will merely sit at the top of the water-filled pipe.
is the soil pipe internal or external on the wall outside can you see the basin pipe and the larger bath pipe going into the soil stack if you have push fit fittings then you may have to disconnect them to rod them out from outside if they are boxed in internally then you may have to put some drain clean one shot from local plumbers merchants into the pipe and leave that in overnight hth Tez

Thank you. Managed to get the wire pipe rod down with the help of some drain un-blocker and this finally cleared the pipe.
Thanks for your help.
sorry bm x again Tez
