I have got 20 tiles they measure 25 cm by 40 cm how much is this in area

You have a tile that measures 0.25m x 0.40m that is = to 0.1 meter square

you have 20 of these so 0.1m x 20 = 2 square meters

So in area you have a total of 2 meters.
