Why do the leaves on my Ficus Tree keep going yellow and dropping off. It is still in the same pot that I bought it in 12 months last September, I keep it in a conservatory, and it didn't happen last year, I find if I pot them on they die anyway.

Hi gulliver1,
Your not over-watering are you ? they need very little during winter otherwise it's so easy to drown them.
If thats not the problem look or ask at your local garden centre for a product known as 'sequestred of iron' which may replenish lacking nutrients.

If you want to pot it on, into a larger pot do it in the spring and before it gets too pot-bound, give it a good soaking an hour before, then re pot into a only slightly bigger pot making sure not to leave any air pockets when adding the fresh compost. Good Luck. Tbird+
In addition to T-birds answer, keeping it in a conservatory may be the problem. They dont like large climate changes and a conservatory can get, hot, cold, humid, dry all in one day.
