ironing

just been doing some ironing and i wondered just what do people iron, my ex sister in law used to iron everything, socks, underwear dusters and even on the very coolest setting... tights!

When I first got my own house, I used to iron everything as mentioned above, except the tights.

A few years down the line, the novelty has definately worn off and I iron as little as possible!

I dont ever doing an ironing run. I will iron things when I wear them, whats the point of going through a big pile then foling it up in drawer. so anything I dont have to iron I dont.

I only iron things as I need them except for my fiance's work shirts and my son's school uniform. I don't iron underwear,socks,tights and dusters at all.I do iron pyjamas though.lol

I iron tea towels and bedding, though I know a lot of people that don't. Knickers, underpants, socks though are a complete no-no.

Oh I don't understand people who only iron when they need to wear clothes. The thought of having to get the ironing board out every day makes me want to cry!

I'll admit to ironing Mr Boo's boxer shorts, but I don't iron things like fitted sheets, towels, most underwear (except Mini Boo's vests)

I too just iron things when i need them.
Wish i could be as domesticated as you B00 lol but i just hate ironing.

boo im the same, dont understand why people iron as they need it, i iron the clothes ive washed then thats it for the week!

I never iron and can't see the point, mr amonty routinely does the ironing if and when we need it.

lol loiusa, im far from domesticated- I'd just rather grit my teeth and iron for an hour once a week than have to iron something everyday.

Though looking at it, I much prefer amonty's idea- any chance of hiring Mr Amonty to do mine?

Life's too short, I used to iron everything, but now.......just fold it as soon as it comes out the tumble dryer or off the line, and hey presto, its as good as ironed:-)

I don't iron.
Clothes go neatly on a hanger straight from the washing machine and that's it.
I have asked dozens of people why they do ironing but only two have had a reason! Most people seem to do it out of habit.
So supplementary question - if you iron, why?

Iron everything! you must be joking.
I just iron trousers and shirts, including t shirts.
As for underwear, sheets, hankies and towels, forget it!!!
I have enough to do without ironing everything in sight.
It is the one chore I hate.

I love ironing. The more the better, Ill even do my aunts when I go over there. I dont iron girls underwear but everything else gets done.
