I have got tencel ones from M and S which are luxuriously silky and non iron, If yours need ironing, I understand that the easiest way is to put them on the mattress then iron.
I don't iron mine. When you put them on the bed all the creases pull out.
I'm sensible. I don't use fitted sheets - and I have a press. Easy peasy.
No in fact I'm every more sensible than that ''I don't iron fitted sheets'' period,
agree with Tilly. After half an hour's sleep they've acquired new creases anyway. Pull them straight again when you get up.

Woofgang's advice is sound but... imagine if photos of me running round the room ironing the bed went on the cloud and then someone hacked them. The humiliation!
Does anyone iron sheets??
The phone rang whilst I was ironing once....
Never ironed since :-)
It's quite easy when you know how, I don't bother anymore but when I did it was like this...

Sensible people use fitted sheets but never iron them, that would be pure madness.
I don't iron fitted sheets. The creases come out once stretched and like jno says as soon as you sleep on them new ones are added.

I don't iron any bedding anymore (can't believe how much time I wasted ironing) I put them in the tumble dryer and fold them while they are still hot.

I'm persuaded Abers no more ironing fitted sheets.

Woofgang I don't think I'd care much for silk sheets.cotton for me.

A press Naomi, how posh.lol

Jno. So you would iron in the nuddy then before climbing in bed ?now where did I put my camera.Lol
I know what you mean,I have three that I have to iron...tomorrow is ironing day...I HATE it!!!
I get someone to help me fold the fitted sheets by taking them by the corner,(where the stitching ending)...then make sure that the "box" edgings are facing the middle of the sheet, then fold in half, keeping it taut and then fold again, whichever way you prefer.
Easy to iron then.
My wife suffers from ferrophobia. (Fear of ironing)
..oh,unless you talking bout the sheet which have elastic ALL the way round...eek...hell to iron!!!
//A press Naomi, how posh.lol //

Not posh - practical.
O god you dont mean I have to wash my sheets do you ?
they aren't real silk whisto, they are tencel which is a manmade fibre made from wood, lovely stuff.
I don't iron, soon as washing is dry it's put on hangers or linen is folded and put away.

Thanks Woofgang I will check them out.

Ever since working for my BMA years ago and finding I had no time and something had to give, I gave up ironing. The bed doesn't mind, and the clothes are still wearable. Doesn't please my woman though. And it would be nice to have ironed stuff, but it simply isn't necessary and life is too short for me to have taken it back up again when I was no longer studying.
