Hi Angelight,
Yes they should take easily, you can take some stout cuttings approx 4" and plant them in open ground outside or try them in pots in a cold frame. Good luck. Tbird+
Its willow, you stick a piece in the ground it will grow!!

My Ex neighbour just stuck a row of trimmings from his tree in the ground to form a hedge, of about 50 that he planted about 2 died. He didn't prepare the cuttings or the ground, it just roots and grows.

Thank you both for takin the time to answer :) I know that willow usually grows like heck... i snapped a twig off a willow tree when i was out and about and planted it in a pot and away it went.... its massive now and i have just taken two more (I am planning to keep it in a huge pot coz i cant really afford to have it left to grow massive... that should be ok shouldnt it?) However my friend has a twisted willow and she took a tendril/branch from it and tried to get it to grow and for some reason it didnt take. I think that she's maybe just been terrribly unlucky though, espescially after your replies too... so i will give it another go!

Thanks again and i will let you know how i get on!

Much love and gratitude, Kel xx
