I have a new fridge freezer being delivered on Friday morning. When should I defrost my current one? It is old and quite frozen up! Thanks.

Ideally you should let the new one stand in its proper place for at least 6 hours before switching it on, and a further 12 hours minimum before using it.

You can move the old one and plug in somewhere else.

If this is not possible and the delivery men are removing your old one, switch it off Thursday afternoon.
