We are suffering at night due to the extreme heat in our bedroom - Our house is a Semi detached chalet bungalow which means the two main bedrooms are in what would normally be the roofspace/attic.
Last night room temp was a sweltering 25 degrees and will only get hotter with the hot weather we are having at the minute ( N.Ireland )
Are there air conditioning units, free standing or permanently installed available that will cool the room down ?
What price would a permanently installed one be ? and it would have to be quiet running.

there are portable air conditioning units here

Failing that if you fill some empty pop bottles with water (not quite full) and freeze them, then put them in front of the fan it gives off the same effect as air con!

Dont have a clue on the permanently installed ones im afraid.

Good luck!
i bought a portable air conditioner last yr to try and sort my hot bedroom.

It was so noisy i had to give up on it( you certainly couldn't sleep with it on. Also, they weigh a ton and are big and bulky so not easy to store for the 350 days of the year when you wouldnt need it. You aloso need to vent it out of a window (A bit like a tumble drier)

The other thing was the minute you switch it off, the room almost immediately heats back up.

Sorry to put you off, but i bought an elactric floor fan in the end. It was alot cheaper, and works much better.

Good luck
