I'm after a reasonably priced low noise fan for the bedroom?

Any suggestions please?

Have you considered an evaporative cooler, rather than a conventional fan? the Independent's website recommends this one for bedrooms on account of its low noise level:

Ceiling fans are very effective; we have one with a built-in light, so it's easy to install by just replacing the normal ceiling light.

The fan I recommended is really quite quiet. There will always be some sort of noise unless you want to pay lots of money ! Good luck with the hunt !
