Has anyone got one? and if so can you please tell me how the shampooing bit works, I have managed to soak all carpets and not a drop has been sucked up. My main confusion is do I have to switch between showering water, and sucking up in the same operation? I too scared to try it in case it blows up! Easy instructions please and thank you.

evening all... <staggers around bleary-eyed and jetlagged> nothing much changed here, then, people queuing up to ban poor old Dot, others asking impenetrable questions about electronic equipment while I still find myself speaking into the wrong end of the phone, and George still not doing the corners properly. Well, I may be away for a few more days as I am v groggy. Best wishes to those of you who have relatives even poorlier than me.

You'd have to be really tall to have a pee in my postbox - and mind the flap!

neti, I imagine Vinny was thinking of a male friend for your letterbox
Question Author
jno I thought so, because there is no way a female could pee in the postbox (buzon)

similar to mine!

but impossible to pee in!
ooooh...you can get yer buzons in it netti...blimey thats a big postbox hehe..!(:O)
Hello possums!

I was thinking about you Neti - how you always long for snow - so I made a reservation for you at the ice hotel here in Sweden. That page sort of answers your question as well, Vinny, regarding whether it ever gets warm here: As you can see, one of their options is "the warm accommodation" (!) But yes it does get warm. Summer in Sweden is short but lovely, and there's a special kind of light here that I believe is very... erm... very Swedish. The nights in June... blink and you'll miss'em.

Thanks Robinia for praising my half-sister's chair; I've quoted both you and BOO to her.

about yea long (Neti reckoning the postbox requirements.)
Afternoon rugbugs.......well thanks a lot for that info Vinny..... it's bloomin cold living outside in the road - bit of a job getting the settee out here - but at least it's clean. Gonna be interesting when it comes to tin bath time but it'll give the neighbours something to look at other than the telly...

can't pee in there eh?....oh yes I can

been a lovely day weatherwise....lordy, what did we do before telephones? seem to have spent the past few days with one stuck to my ear.

kit sorry I didn't mention the chair, I also thought it was terrific - would love one, but with moving rollers so it could massage my back, but not so that I could roll off. It did look incredibly comfy.
Ha ha Neti, that's an image, you rolling off the chair! No worries, I'll add your comment! BTW, I was looking at Ibiza on the map and realized how small it is - have you ever driven around it (if that's possible)?

Hi Robinia, thinking of you and your brother. And of your migraines... I don't get mine as often anymore, but Tai Chi really helped me for a while as I mentioned once when chatting with Jude.
Question Author
Yes Kit it is possible to drive around it in about 3 hrs! and I think I might like the Ice Hotel but would need a roaring log fire and not just animal skins to sleep in:
Three hours, that's so... neat! I'll see what can be done about the roaring, Neti.

Welcome home, jno!

Haven't forgotten our deal to talk about useless knowledge, Dolly, but am being logged off now...

a vast range of fun activities at the Ice Hotel... even including traditional yoik?? er, is that done by traditional oiks? I think you can have my room in that one, Kit.
yoiks....it looks like the perfect outlet for our cottage industry - seems they sell balaclavas....get clicking ladies...you as well Vinny, we'll give you a crash course in crotcheting, it could make you a real hit in Wooly....

imagine....?

welcome back btw jno I think we need at least one pic as proof....
you sure it wasn't Skeggy?
bit chilly for this at Skeggy, don't you know...
