My local authority, ( north herts) doesnt offer either kerbside collection for any type of plastic nor is there a recycling bank i can take it to,(apart from bottles).
Does anyone else have the ability to recycle their plastic in any way? i was wondering if in the future theres the chance my authority might introduce something?
im thinking plastic containers and bags.

Try ASDA - my local one has a plastics bank. I was surprised to find it there recently! Also, my local Morrissons recycle plastic bags.
according to this there is somewhere you can take plastic bags http://www.north-herts.gov.uk/recycling_points _1206.pdf
We have a fortnightly collection of plastic, though it's only certain plastics, milk bottles, drink bottles etc, not for things like yoghurt cartons. So yes, your local authority may well introduce this facility in the future.
Tesco has plastic banks.
find a friend that lives ina different area, before my council recycled plastic i used to take it to my daughter whose council did. i still bring her cardboard here because hers dont do cardboard.
