Thought it better to post on the main topic instead of sub topic for possibly more answers. Can anyone help me please - what colour scheme for cushions on the bed? The faux fur throw is a pale camel. I was thinking possibly the turquoise tan combination but do I need to incorporate the colour of the throw? Furniture is cream and old pine, not new varnished kind. And where is the best place to get nice posh beady type cushions ??

Smurf - I like a pale camel & black combination.
raspberry would look lovely on that bed, or a turquoise/aqua colour.

depending on how much you want to spend, you can get lovely cushions from so many places these days:
homebase
john lewis
matalan
dunelm mill
woolworths
tesco's/sainsbury's (larger stores)
habitat
cargo

the list could go on and on....
Hi smurfchops.

Have you had a look at bombayduck.co.uk. They have some really great beady type furnishings, cushions, bedding, light shades and things. They are lovely.

I've ordered from there before good delivery service too.

Thanks all, do you think I need the camel colour in the cushions to blend in with the throw? I want it to look feminine, shabby chic type of thing. Possibly black would be too modern, unfortunately. Any other ideas ?? Thanks so far !!
Baby blue would look good - add some mother-of-pearl buttons to blend into beige/camel

Thanks so much ... and now for a very large picture on the wall behind the bed ... where shall I start?
I'd say either pale blue/ turquoise or chocolate. For the picture have you thought about having a favourite photo turned into a canvas print - lots of photo shops do it and so does next directory and i think you can have them done in tones of same colour ie all bluey tones or sepia tones. I have one of my husband and son as a baby - kind of a tasteful bare skin one! No rude bits showing tho

Nice thought Janet, I am now thinking of an accent wall, perhaps with gold to tone with the throw? However my curtain pole is silver ..
