Bright lights in Essex ?

Driving on the M25 towards M11 noticed a cluster of powerful bright lights in the north.. My friend in south Essex has noticed them to Are they stadium lights ?
Or what ?
I know strange question just intrigued to know.

Could be the busy Stansted airport. That is to the N of the M25 and sits on the M11?

Dont think it was stanstead to bright and was heading towards airport.
My friend has said she noticed them now since summer

North Weald Airfield lies right next to the M11 (on the eastern side), 3 miles north of the M25. It's used by light aircraft and small private jets. Perhaps you're seeing the approach lights?

ha ha no not aliens as they are not moving ..unless they have settled down for the night ;-)
Too bright for golf range as these are powerful lights that give a glow to the sky.
Maybe they could be in north london ....
