I think whatever you did you would need to clear it with the local council. They may or may not require planning permission. Having said that you dont normally need planning permission for a not permanent building which a green house is.

You see that's what I was thinking, if a greenhouse (up to certain dimensions) doesn't need permission, then surely you can put what you like in there!! having said that a Hot-tub could be different.
Don't know the legallity of it all but have you considered the work involved with a hot tub? Plumbing (hot and cold feed in), electricity and, most imporantly, getting rid of the soiled water could turn out to be an expensive project.

...yeah but it would be cool!!!
I think you only need planning permission for a conservatory/greenhouse type building if it exceeds a certain percentage of your house floor area!!! Hot tubs are more fun outside anyway. A greenhouse would get dreadfully steamy and maybe even mouldy. Anyway please invite me round when its finished

Hehehehe Doris it's date! you see my thinking is, is that with a Green house, I could grow climbers up it and hide myself from the neighbours. Or else they'll all want a go.

Perhaps I should aim for a Gazebo instead!
