I have a small/medium kitchen. All the doors and cupboards are cream (my favourite). My husband refuses to paint them cream once more and I have difficulty choosing another colour. Anyone out there
recently decorated their kitchen and is really pleased
with the result - what colour did you choose?

Could you not go for a variation on a theme, maybe buttermilk which seems quite popular these days.
I love yellow in a kitchen. Kitchens tend to be fairly cluttered places and can seem dark. Yellow really cheers and brightens the room.

Having said that - I recently saw a kitchen with every door painted in a different colour. Very striking and unusual.
I redecorated my smallish kitchen last year. I did the walls the brightest yellow I could find, laid light brown laminate flooring, and the room now looks bright and very cheery.
If they're cream because of a Shaker style then pale green or greeny blue looks quite nice too.
A very pale 'Duck Egg Blue' looks lovely with cream, it's a creamy blue-green, and looks really fresh, you can go onto www.dulux.co.uk and paint a virtual room and try out the colours, Good luck!

Thank you everyone. All your suggestions are great and
I will definitely choose one of them. Buttermilk was in my mind but hubby says "Too much like we've got already".
Yellow sounds good, also the bluey green. Yes, I think I have a tendency towards Shaker style and would ideally like real wooden cupboards but until the lottery numbers turn up will have to settle for paint.
