My friend is getting married on Friday and has bought a bunch of lilys to make her bouquet. Bought them on Sunday and as yet they STILL haven't opened up. Anyone got any ideas on how to get them to open?? Thanks

Hi, make a solution of sugar and water.....4 tbs of sugar to one pint of hot water, stir until the sugar disolves and allow the water to cool.... cut the lily stems 1 inch from the bottom....these MUST be put straight into the water..... This should work but may need repeating daily, always with fresh water.

Hope this helps, and the wedding goes well

If she bought them 5 days early Im guessing shes storing them somewhere cool? If so, bring them into the warmer house. Nothing speeds plant decay on quicker than central heating.

Hope she has a lovely day.
