wear them around the house with a pair of sports socks on and then they should loosen up a bit, they really will only loosen with wear, have u defo got leather ones? there should be the triple code on the shoe, a diamond means synthetic, a flattened hide pic means leather, the uppers may be leather but the insole will prob be synthetic so they will take a bit to stretch from the inside. You could try a bit of vaseline on them if the Renapur is not working
Question Author
Yes..I think you are right Dot the insoles are synthetic ..they did have the little leather hide tag attached to them when I bought them so the uppers are leather .
Will give your suggestions a try.. .many thanks.
Shaneystar..my hubby always has trouble with new shoes/boots..and he swears by vaseline rubbed into them, as suggested by dot.
Have tried it myself sometimes and it does work. good Luck.
p.s hope the real shaney is well!

stick by the golden rule- if they hurt in the shop they are always going to bother your feet and leave them in the shop for some other poor devil to wear.
dont try to wear again until blister has completely healed.
best of luck
Dee
I was recently looking for something for cleaning a leather item and did a Google.co.uk search (UK only) with the words "leather cleaning" - typed in just like that complete with double quotation marks - and on the first page displayed to me there was at least one site to do with cleaning of leather shoes. They may have a product for softening leather too.
just leaving my slippers by the radiator.....
is there a foot spa?
Radiator? in this weather, oh maybe it's turned off. Hope this isn't going to be a smelly home, leather's ok but not when worn non-stop. Couldn't we have had something nicer, like drains????
Shaney how can I make a desktop shortcut on Firefox, it won't let me.
we don't mention drains in this country at the moment....shurrup whinging, any port in a storm.....

sorry shaney, it's lovely here....in fact, have you got any port (with lemon) please?
Have been searching Firefox and AB and have somehow managed to make a direct link to new home, what a bother! But have managed it.
ooh, a leather shop?

how chic.

Shaney, I didn't see your question at the time, but my answer is the same as Dee Sa's. I had loving parents but for some reason they thought they knew better than me about how my shoes felt, when I was little. They always bought them too small and assured me I'd grow into them. What I have grown into is permanently painful feet. Never buy shoes that don't fit in the shop.

Well, you've had nearly a year now, so maybe they've softened up a bit...
Blimey...jno got me smoke signal.....!
sorry netti..fer last post...give's netti me last rolo...bu66er..(:O)
must go back up ladder before the rain come'

-- Thwacks Vinny anyway --just cos I feel like it!!! How did jno get here so quickly, it certainly pays to have friends in high places, or are you still the Ed jno???
I was always made to wear sensible lace-ups and Clarks sandals in the summer, no wonder I went off the rails!!!

Lol...the blasted shoes are still at the back of the cupboard where I threw them in disgust in spite of liberal applications of Vaseline and dubbin.
This will teach me not try and be a fashion icon at my age and to stick with my usual footwear of wellies or slippers.
Neti old girl I have no idea how to make a desktop shortcut ....I can't even find the desktop let alone a shortcut .Is that the thing where all your icons are ? I'll ask picky . I just bookmark the page .
It's tipping down and thundering so I think we do need a drink .
port all round supply your own lemons !!
wey-hey! where were all of those bags hiding? now you're talking, I love handbags, hate shoes. and the smell of leather...mmmm...
I told someone once the smell of leather was driving me wild to which he replied 'Don't worry, you'll soon go off the boil'. When I accused him of being unromantic he said 'Well what d'ya want me to do in the middle of the Sunday market?'...hahaha

well have a look in News, I have just posted a link to a wonderful video where a newsreader refuses to have anything to do with the Paris Hilton story; her colleagues stop her burning it but she manages to feed it into the shredder. I feel so much cheerier watching that. Wouldn't happen on the beeb though.

Ooooooh Noooo....not handbags ...tie me up and shove me in the cupboard please and whatever you do don't let Mr S see them ...I get firmly marched past any where that sells handbags when we go out shopping .
My name is Shaney and I have a handbag fetish ! Hahahaha ...I rather like the look of that one top left .........
