smell of the carpet

I am currently trying to potty train m.y 2 yr old. Unfortunately she has had a few mistakes on my carpet, can anyone suggest an inexpensive way of getting rid of a urine smell

talcum powder.........shake on carpet (whether you sing 'do the shake and vac' at the same time is a personal preference!!)......rub it in with your foot....leave for a while.......hoover up and repeat as necessary......worked for me!
