Ours is always kept in the garage and we wash it when it gets so dirty that there is a danger of getting our clothes dirty as we squeeze down the side to get in.
Me, always have done. It's a double...now there's only one car, much is used for other things. Keeps the car cleaner for longer and reduces insurance premium.
No the garage is too narrow.
Some bright spark in days of old decided it would be a good idea to build an inglenook fireplace into the garage space from the adjoining lounge. Now it stores all the garden pots/tools and the chest freezer.
bhg...could be so. My reduction is 5% (not much I know)...the main reason for garaging the car is simply knowing that no harm is about to occur - accidentally or deliberately.
We put up a large timber double garage over 40 years ago and it has never been used for cars. It's full of husband's assorted machinery and clobber and I haven't been inside it for years. I think it's a rural thing. Noone round here puts their cars away.
I always use the garage as the condo I live in has underground parking. It's nice to get into a warm car on bitterly cold Ontario winter days and a cool car on hot summer days.
I have seen many newly built houses with a garage,
And not by any stretch of the imagination can they be called a garage .they must be planned for the original Mini car
We have a garage and a car port and both have classic cars in my husband has been restoring for years. The cars we actually drive have to stay outside. No-go areas for me anyway, both spider cities.
I have a garage but haven't put my car in it for about 7 years. The trouble is that cars are approx 15% bigger than they were 20 years ago. Look at a modern mini compared to those from the 50's , 60's and 70's. My car is too big to fit in the garage, much as I would like to use it.
Haven’t kept any of our cars in the garage for years and years.
However, we recently cleared it out, got rid of running machine and step machine, lots of junk and now have my new electric car in there :)
Never had a new car. Always second hand. And husband had a company car until he retired. Now eehave to have a car that has to carry a mobility scooter or rollator and an old crock (me!!). I can't drive any more :0/.
