I would like to hang a curtain above a window which is situated half-way up the stairs which curve upwards, so it is in a very awkward place.What type of ladder do I need? Many thanks.

You need proper 'stair' ladders.

Exactly what are proper stair ladders?

As you can see, they can be expensive. Do you not know anyone who may own a pair which you can borrow?

Whatever you use, make sure there's someone around to foot the ladder for you, then you should be fine.

Thanks for the link.I may be able to borrow some.

I have a pair of multi positional ladders.
They can be used as single or double, as normal steps and also, steps for uneven situations like stairs etc.
Any good DIY store shout stock them.
