I've read some interesting counter-arguments on the whole Denmark-were-robbed uproar and I fully support that it was a well-deserved England win.
I'm sick to death of other countries sticking their nebs in and of all the anti-English sentiment. For crying out loud, can't people just be pleased for us??
On another note, I've been awake since 2am. It's quite chilly outside but like a sauna inside this cottage. I lay on top of the bed all night in just underwear and woke up dripping at 2am. As soon as I step outdoors I cool down. I think it's fair to say this has been our least favourite accommodation and it's badly under-equipped. There's no freezer, not even a corkscrew. Even at home with no kitchen I feel we have better facilities.
Our in-laws are coming back in September and they're staying about three doors down from where we stayed last year. They hinted at us coming with them so I'll think about it.

Sorry, Emmie. I posted all about my holiday on your Melatonin thread by mistake. My apologies.
Yes, this house could do with a little TLC. Looking at when it last sold in 2007 literally nothing has been done to the place. There is a very tiny WC on the first floor and there is a damp-like terrible and intense smell. OH reckons it could be the fan. The property we stayed in last year was lovely.

Oh that's a shame, Emmie. If I had a spare room you could come and stay with me. There's so much to see and do where we live. Unfortunately all 3 of us are still in one room at the moment as the other bedrooms are full to the rafters with furniture and boxes. And of course we have no kitchen.... The kitchen people are coming to do the survey at 3pm on Monday. Honestly I can't wait to have it all done.
Hopefully as soon as your brother has room you can get there and get away from it all for a while.

the new house my niece is supposed to be moving to is being held up, not sure why. so they have 5 people living in a two bed cottage, so its a bit cramped. Perhaps i can get down there later in the year, but its lovely in the summer months as my brother and SIL have a beautiful garden suntrap and i can just chill out in it all day..
