Saturday. Tranquility is the order of the day. I hope it lasts! not much to do today, I'm happy with that. Some odds and ends to do around the house. I'm sure I'll find something to do. Like decide what to do for lunch. That's a good start.

I'd reckon a soft boiled egg on a toasted English muffin with a tad of greenery and some thinly sliced smoked salmon smothered with hollandaise sauce would be a lunch to die for.
Because after that you'd be thinking I don't need dinner.
Two meals at once!!

Ok, substitute salmon with either ham, bacon or maybe prosciutto

Fine thanks Boaty. Are muffins the same as crumpets? They were saying yesterday that some crumpets have the salt content of two portions of fries!

Some people call them the same, but they are not. Crumpets are lovely toasted, muffins are too. but look different. look more like a bun.

crumpets have holes in them where butter runs into them, i sometimes have them at breakfast. Muffins aren;t the same, flat and cut in half to be toasted
