How Do I Properly Store Things In A Safe?

I collect coins and paper money, so I bought a Sentry Safe to storage them in. It says in the instructions to put your items in a air tight seal, because moisture can build up in the safe. I called Sentry Safe to figure out what would be good to put my items in. One employee told me to put them in Ziploc bags, while another said that the during a fire, the internal temperature can go up, melting the plastic bags onto my items.

So my question it, how the heck am I supposed to store my things, then?

Posts like this one from new members often seem to be followed by 'helpful' posts from other new members, who just happen to know about some 'wonder product' that will provide a solution to the question. (i.e. they're poorly disguised spam). If such a secondary post appears here I'll simply delete this thread.

However, if this is a genuine question, then all you need to do is to provide some sort of barrier between the plastic of the Ziploc bag and the banknotes (or whatever) inside them. Aluminium foil might well suffice.
Sachets of Silica Gel placed in your safe will help control humidity by absorbing moisture. If the correct Silica Gel is used it will change colour when it can no longer absorb moisture. It will need replacing regularly depending on the local climate.

Silica Gel sachets are available in a variety of sizes and regularly used when moisture control is required.

The best place to purchase sachets of Silica Gel that will suit your requirement is....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................easily found by googling suppliers in your area.
Oh dear. Oz has gone dotty !
The question is - how often will you be opening and closing the safe??
If you're going to be accessing the safe regularly, then I can't really see the moisture building up to the point where it would cause a problem, 'cos when you open the door and move things around in the safe, you'll be circulating the air and allowing some of the stale air to escape and fresh air to enter.
