I bought some saffron bulbs, and heard that I don't need to water or soil. Is that true? May I have some tips please.

I think what you have is a colchicum, called meadow saffron, but it isn't the saffron crocus. It will flower once on a dry sucer or bowl in a sunny windowsill, then plant out in the garden to flower next year IT IS NOT THE EDIBLE SAFFRON CROCUS (crocus sativus)
