I bought a pair of size 11 trainers ages ago but they are extremely tight for my size 11 feet. Is there a way of stretching them?

I bought a shoe stretcher many years ago from Kleenezee. Great buy - I lend it out often as well as using myself. Think there might be a way with damp newspaper but other will know better.
You could also take them to Timpsons, if you have one locally, and they will stretch them for you. You will need to leave them for a few days.
homedeeth, if you have a branch of Deichmans near you, they do sell shoe stretchers .. at least the branch I've been in do.
I believe if you put on a pair of thick socks and then turn the hairdryer on them, it will work.
Put a freezer-bag in the shoe with the open end upwards and fill it with cold water then seal it with a plastic tie and put it in the freezer...inside a plastic grocery-bag if you want to separate it from any food. As water turns to ice, it expands and so stretches the shoe. Leave it there overnight then remove and let the water melt. Job done in my experience.
