Latte, The New Beige.

Smiling to myself whenever I see the colour beige renamed to latte. I've seen the name used as a pale beige car colour, shoe colour and knit wear. I also saw brown named as chocolatte on an advert for dresses.

Just the 1970's colours of coffee and creme all over again, but selling well again no doubt.

I confused the barista in my local Cafe Nero when I asked for a black Latte.

Yes I remember fawn! And tan, especially used for tights before they were known as nude.

My mum uses the word "mauve" which amuses me.

Mmmm what is mauve exactly? A light purple close to lilac or lavender I guess.

Now there's a look....a fawn and mauve twin set.

My daughter commented to me that all old people wear beige and carry beige bags - since then it is so noticeable - all these beige clothes walking around together. She said to us "please do not wear beige, beige is for oldies"

Because of my colouring, I do not wear beige. It has never suited me and will never suit me, I hope.
