It's awful here; worst day of the year I think - wet, dank, Number 42 Shade of Cornish Weather Grey, the wind building - predicted 70-80 mph gusts later, the barometer falling.

How is it for you?

It's supposed to be the last evening shop for the good burghers of Truro but who in their right mind wants to be out in this?

The only saving factor is that I have lit a log fire already.......

Stay safe all of you who are affected as it may be a bit rough tonight - and I am hearing to be repeated on Friday.......

9C, lightly grey, trees are ruffled by a gentle breeze.
Not particularly windy here in York, just wet and miserable.....
Same shade of Grey in Stockton, but not as windy (Not yet anyway). Rained a couple of times, but blew away quite quickly. Batten down the hatches, DTC!
Grey, dark, raining, blowing and worse to come by the sound of it, Somerset!
Nasty here too, DTC.....just hope the daughter has a safe trip on Friday..x
It can't be any worse than what we went through in my neck of the woods a couple of weeks ago surely ?
Some poor devils haven't cleared the debris and muck from their homes from that yet ,and some of them have no more home :(
West Yorkshire. Ten-tenths cloud, iron grey. Mild breeze. Light rain. Fairly cold. Not as bad as Truro, but I wouldn't willingly go out today!

Yep as to the hatches, the birds are going for the bottom of the hedges - which is not a great sign.....

N/Kent, we've had a couple of hours sunshine, gone now, not too windy
at the moment, we shall see!
Bristol is much the same as Somerset and Cornwall by the sound of it!
I would agree I think it's the worst day yet.

DTC, I'm guessing you use the standard 50 shades of grey chart for the Cornish weather.

Exactly Baldric and then there's the whipping factor as the wind gets up....

Well shaney, sloopy, mammar, and others certainly went through it with that storm....I do not wish that on anybody! They are forecasting flood and wind damage down here though.
Very windy here.
sunny this morning, cloud thickening now, wind rattling the telly aeriel. east essex.
DTC - it is blowing a gale, everything is bending over and the netting on the fruit cage is being torn off, even though fastened with cable ties every few inches and there is so much rain the pond is now overflowing. what a change from yesterday.
shaney, that is just too awful.
It's getting dark here and the wind is noisy. [And no it's not me causing it, lol!] Essex coast.
been dark enough to have the lights on all day to read but now an absolute must as i can't see even if i squint.
