It's me with my pear tree again
It's about one meter tall and all the leaves have gone (almost overnight it seems) to golden from green
Is this just autumn (we have had frost)? Next doors more established trees are still green

I'd say yes - nearly all our leaves have gone brown or fallen, suddenly. The ones next to you might be a different variety?

Thank you box tops
They are full grown trees unlike mine
Would you recommend any frost protection
Ooh - I don't know, others may advise - I don't have any fruit trees these days, but yours is quite little. We've put frost bags over our bouganvillea now since that's young and in a fairly small pot.

I've popped a cut down pop bottle over a small clematis - it's only a few inches high but I don't want the frost to kill it
Hi Ric,

Yes I think it would be a good idea to protect your young tree frost.
What I use, is a fleece bag over the crown of the tree, mine has a draw string, which is handy.
Take care not to damage any buds if you use a fleece though.
