I have one of those tennis racquet fly swatters which zaps the blighters with an electric current.
I have just sizzled to death a fat, juicy blue- bottle, a fly I particularly hate.
It was sooooo enjoyable!

I have such an implement of amusement in France and when you connect with a skeeter they crack with a noise like a pistol shot.
Sounds like gunfight at the OK corral in high summer.....
