ive just recieved my heating bill for three months am now in recovery mode as it was a shock...the bill is nearly double what it was this time last year!!! no it hasnt gone up as im on a fixed tarriff it has to be due to the extremely cold winter weve had....thankfully i have the funds to pay the bill but what about those who are really struggling especially with all the benifit cuts that there now are...

Dreading mine as I was out of the country for the worst weeks and no doubt husband had heating full on night and day!

Ditto - although on a fixed tariff the tariff has now gone up, plus the provider scottishpower is sh1te to deal with. We'll be shopping around for a new supplier on principle.

Yes, last winter we only had the heating on for a few hours a day but this year had to have it on for much longer. The gas bill was huge and our DD payments have not been enough to cover it, but the weather seems to be improving and hopefully we will not use much now until October
