I have got a second fish tank now and want to put my fish from one tank to the other.? Have settled the new tank in and have a few fish in there. Will I have to put the old fish in a bag and put them in with new ones/tank like you do when you buy new one. or can I just transfer them over.? many thanks

Safer to use the bag method, straight transfer is still risky as water conditions not necessarily identical.

Hey hun, Canary is right. You still need to acclimatise the fish... both temperature and water. Put the fish in water from their tank into a bag and float it, you can add a cup full or two from the new tank. Leave for 20 mins then add them in.
Also, watch your bio load... you can add some of the old media [sponges] from the old filter to the new one to help it 'seed'... the older the better, just rinse it in old tank water and chuck it in.
