I have just had an area of 75X20 feet cleared of brambles, I want to know the best way to kill them off as I have tried a recommended weed killer but they soon grow back, I admit to not enjoying gardening too much as it is time consuming so any suggestions please

Try Root Out.
You will need to apply the crystals directly on to a newly cut stalk. It does work, so worht the efffort.

I've also seen DeeWeed2 advertised in the weekend papers. can't try it myself as not safe with hens!
I agree. Root out's best. Sprinkle it on the newly cut stumps so it can penetrate then tie a plastic bag over it with rubber band. It's systemic so goes right down to the roots. It's biodegradble if i remember rightly so won't do any lasting harm and you can replant in the spot after about six weeks.
We had this problem in England with a piece of land we bought initial getting rid of was ok but you still get the odd runner and the only way is vigilance and pulling from the ground they will go eventually.Good luck.
