Speeding Points

I have three points for speeding on my license, how long before I can have it removed.

They are "spent" after 3 years and removable after 4. Bit of a coincidence it is almost 4 years to the day that mine went on to my licence but I dont know that I will bother to replace my licence right now.

I've got an SP30 from ages ago - long since spent - but to get it removed I'd have to give up my old 'Pink Paper' licence and pay for a photocard version - which I would really resent doing - so I'll just live with it ...

Snap SD, still have my old green paper licence and am loath to get the newer photo version.

well, you'll have to have a photo card one by 2033 ;-)

I got three points on my licence when I was fined for doing 36mph in a 30mph zone in November 2008.

Although these points maybe "spent" after 3 years and removable after 4 years, when I renewed my insurance last month I was still asked to declare any traffic offences in the last 5 years!

Mne were removed auto, no payment required when I updated my expired photo
