and now it'll turn out perfect every time. I would say mine was a decent meat curry, freshly ground spices, no curry powders or jarred pastes.

My stews are legendary !
Probably a brown sugar coffee meringue which I can knock up in minutes and it ALWAYS turns out fab.
Steak pie, my Grandson has announced on his blog which is viewed far and wide that my pie is the best in the world. Lol
I'm pretty good at smoked haddock in parsley sauce with plain boiled potatoes and petit pois.
Simple, but delicious and turns out every time.
Lemon Meringue Pie. I can remember word for word the old recipe that I use.

It's lovely when you read something like that Mamy, my no.2 son bought his friend home for dinner and as he came through the door he said 'mom's curries are awesome, far better than the take-away or restaurants' I was quite proud!
I'm married to a chef - now retired - but I still like to cook and my signature dish is Bobotie. I also make a mean cheese sauce
Mine for years was mousse au chocolat until I decided that it was too risky serving up a dish with raw eggs. Everybody loved it and never a flop.
Now, it's paella a completely different kettle of fish! i get asked to do this time and again. As I love it and live on my own, it's a golden opportunity to have a favourite dish with friends or family.
I'm famous (among friends at least) for my spicy dhal!
Quite a lot from roasts, fish, meringues, all sorts of things as I enjoy cooking.

For a family meal and comfort food, my homemade macaroni cheese with bacon, roasted leeks ( and onions optional), cherry toms and if you like a little heat some chipotle pepper/chilli added.
