the fingermarks on the paintwork, the dust under the tele, the bits in the cutlery drawer, the spill in the fridge and all the other hidden muckiness, until you've got someone coming to stay tomorrow?

As my facebook avitar says
I can get more done in the 10 minutes before guests arrive than all the rest of the day put togther
Better get the Cillit Bang on the go then Tilly lol.
I do see it...and I clean it when I do. That way I always stay on top of it.

I think I've got most of it sorted. Where else might I have to look?
I couldn't believe what was lurking in the cutlery drawer. How does it get so dirty when everything you put in there is clean? It looked as though someone had crumbled up a loaf in there. How?
Windowsills! Lol xx
Tilly, you must have sunshine, I only see dust when the sun is shining, so maybe there's a lot........
Question Author
Done them Tinks, but thank you.
Widowsills are easy to keep clean, cos you can seem them all the time. It's that hidden stuff. I blame the dogs!
So - it happens in your house as well!
Have you cleaned under the beds?
Under the toilet seats! Always bound to be something nasty lurking for guests to see!
because you haven't paid the garden fairies that ten bob you owe them for last time, so they have downed tools.
Skirting boards and on the tops of plugs.
Anywhere that sits above 5ft 3ins in my case.
Tilly, have a sneaky look through their bags when they arrive. If they've got white gloves with them, you'll know you're in trouble
Our guest dropped his pen down the side of the sofa and Ii simply shuddered at the amount of crumbs he found when he went looking for it!
In a slightly odd way I welcome a visit from my in-laws. I know that the house is going to get an extra special seeing to - usually by the lovely Sylvia with a final flourish from me.

I don't know why I bother though, I learnt a long time aog to not look in the corners of my in-laws home ;-)
don't forget to look UP inside the microwave,
and wear stronger glasses next time you venture into the kitchen you can spend all day cleaning & still miss a bit somewhere.
Question Author
Thanks for all the help. I think I've got most of it done. Just got to change the beds tomorrow morning as the guest room is actually the dogs' bedroom. That's the bed that needs to be moved and hovered behind, under, over and up the sides. I am NEVER having another long haired German Shepherd.
Has anybody else done BANG, but, the dirt's still there ??????
Question Author
Done the cushions on the three piece, maidup, thank you. They are easily forgotten about.
Toilets, microwave, ovens, fridge, skirting boards. All done.
Oops, forgot about the spaces between the spindles on the stairs. Oh, well that won't take long.
