RIGHT- rooms almost done....

new bed en route....

Walls painted white... and on my main wall i have a kind of branch in the top right corner (sticker branch btw) wich os 1/4 way over the wall with little floral birdies sitting on the branches....its nice against the white wall honest!!

however the other side of the wall is rather plain looking......you can see nearly to the floor apart from a wicker basket (also white) any ideas?

my other colours are pale blue and pink..xx

Oh, I love the shabby look. My little sister has it in her room, and I've done my daughters room in that style, too... my choice, not hers :-)

I like the birdies on branch idea, it sounds cute. I recently bought some new wallpaper, for when I move, which has little birds in white shabby cages.

Hmmm... the other wall. Is there any kind of furniture against the wall, or is it literally bare?
Sorry, just as soon as I typed that, I thought of something...

Bunting! Floral, shabby bunting.

I've used it on the tops of my daughters walls, and it looks mega cute. Make sure it's material though, and not some kind of plastic! lol.

This is the one I used http://www.ebay.co.uk...310d45#ht_1845wt_1014

You can get loads of different colors, so maybe get one which has more blue in it.
You also don't have to get the Cath Kidston material (I'm slightly obsessed!) which makes it a lot cheaper if the room is big.

ive just made cath kidston curtains and i LOVE THE BUNTING...but also making a cath K quilt so may be a bit much!

its the same wall as the birdies....but opposite end...and theres a basket sitting...but its the wall facing the door so if u look in u just see a bare white wall lol!! and its a tad bare..
other wall has a "rogues gallery" on it so was maby going to shove a few photo fames on the space?? xx
Lol! Cath kidston is totes amaze, huh. Loving the fact you have made curtains!! That's a brilliant idea :-)

I think the frames idea is a good one. I have a bit of a thing for canvases around the house, but I'm not sure what kind of picture you could go for, with Shabby.

My kitchen it shabby and I have loads of tin signs on the walls. Like old Pepsi signs, gas pump signs, etc.
Maybe you could do something like that, but you'd have to be careful on color, I guess.

Those wall stickers are great, I really like them. Bit fiddly to do, but deffo worth it. I've got a huge one above my bed that says "sweet dreams" :-)

If I have any more ideas, I'll be sure to post them.
However, I think your frames idea is a good one.

Argghhh! How annoying.

Every time I try and open one, I get this message: The action that you were trying to perform has failed. It's on the photobucket page, so I'm not sure if it's my end or yours.

Disappointment :-(
That is really nice tinks.
:-(

Obviously just me then...

eeeeemmm not so much my room was white anyhow except one wall so i scraped that and painted and glossed in one day.

bhind the tv is paint too - spraypaint!

but thanks glad u like it! oh and a few more bits n bobs...did u spot the wee mouse on my drawers? haha made that xxx
Get lots of different mirrors from junk shops . car boots etc and paint the frames in the shades of your room and hang them in a group random shapes work really well tuck some toning silk flowers here and there behind them

Or

Hang small shelves off set in a random pattern and collect chintzy pottery and tinware to display on them

or

Get a guge canvas from somewhere like the Works and paint it in one of your feature colours and hang it as a plain panel to break up the white

or smaller canvasses panited in all the shdes arranged as one piece of art looks good if you mix deep box canvasses with the shallower ones
