Hello I have a personal money order for 48 American dollars. We bank at Nationwide who refuse to cash it. We have no other bank account


How do we cash it?

You may find another financial institution that would cash it for you as a non-customer although this would most likely incur a very high fee.

Try this site . You would need to register but they do offer Currency Exchange and was set up due to the popularity of eBay and the need to transact in different currencies.

If you expect to receive further international money transfers it may benefit you to suggest the sender uses Western Union or Travelex
A couple of years ago my bank were unwilling to accept a cheque in american dollars into my bank account. Fortunately Mr Spudqueen banks at Barclays, and as long as I signed the back of the cheque they were more than happy for it to be paid into his bank account. Check if anyone you know banks at Barclays!
