We are in the process of applying for planning persmission.

The council say that, as we have a mortgage on property, we need to inform mortgage company and get them to sign something.

Does anyone have any idea what this is ?

i will soon be in a similar position and would not be surprised to be asked to inform my mortgage company as i do not own the property outright and i also expect to show i have extra insurance in place to cover the building works and any possible problems with the house itself as the building work progresses
