Hi All,

I am entiltled to tax credits but was just wondering if any oneknows if i get help with child care costs.
The reason i ask is that my parents look after my child while i work. As they are not registered child care people i am unsure if i am allowed to claim for Help with it.

Thanks

I am pretty sure you need to have a registered childminder in order to claim childcare costs ~ I know when I had a childminder and was filling out my form it stipulated this..although this was a while ago!

I wasn't entitled to childcare costs anyway as Mr Pippa earns too much (I ended up with the same amount of credit as my childminder) but that's another thread.... ;o)
You can only claim for the childcare element of tax credits if the childcarer is either registered with Ofsted or registered as an approved carer:-
