Summons Effects

Not sure where to post this.
Brother rented out his house. No longer lives here.
Had a summons arrive at my address. Name of my brother on it. Summoning him for council tax arrears. He does not live here, and he paid the tax today,£236. But not the £60 summons charge as the auto line did not request that sum. Will my credit rating be affected by allowing him to use my address, or will my unblemished record be affected in anyway?
He simply forgot to pay the council tax. From first request to summons was three weeks, no final warning. I think that's a bit harsh.

So did he rent the house to you?
Credit records are based on individuals not addresses, although if there isa financial association between you it could go on the credit record

Yeah three weeks is about right
I let a house to a bozo on Sep 1 and he paid no rent and left by Oct 31st Thank God, and the council managed to fit in a CCJ to the bozo in the meantime for non payment of CT - I was very impressed.
Oh I dont like James reply at all
( link by BC )
CT is civil as well - ( not paying poll tax was made a crime )
and as far as I can see if ya getta CCJ then it counts against you

but the names have to match.

Thank you for your advice ABers.
PS the summons fee does not usually need to be paid in these circumstances
