kitchen work tops

i have solid beech worktops in my kitchen.. have used danish oil on them... they continually get stained and look awful.. can anyone please advise on what is the best treatment for them to look good and not stain.

If they are not cleaning well and the oil does not improve the appearance you will have to sand them down and start the oiling process all over again.
Solid wood worktops are hard work,which is why those of them that had them many years ago were very pleased to replace them with modern materials.
Worktops do get a lot of use over the years & any solid beech/wood ones can never really look like they did as new, however much you try to maintain them.

I remeber in the 'old' days, Mum & Dad having a large solid wood draining board & it never looked as good as the next enamel one they had.
