Hi bigsister,

it can be difficult to remove, but if you score the paper first then wet over the scored area, leave for 10 minutes or so then strip it,it should be ok,

Thaks raysparx1- I'll give it a go.
You can buy a wallpaper stripper in Argos for 20, saves a lot of mess and hassle.
Go over the wallpaper with a sharp scraper and try to knock as many of the woodchips off as possible....then score it as mentioned. I then use a steamer to get it off.
Steaming worked well for me.

Be careful though - painted woodchip after being torn of walls can cut like a knife when it dries. Wear gloves.

Also, after a day up a ladder using a steamer, you hair will look like ****.
Score the woodchip with a scraper, then apply a thin mix of wallpaper paste, wait 10 mins or so, then apply again. Keep doing this until the woodchip comes off the wall easily.
give me your address and ill send my 3 year old son round! he will strip your walls in minutes and wont want paying! I just wish he would leave my walls alone, lol.
If you have loads of this paper investing in one of these might be worthwhile. I found it made a time difference when scoring a large area - to then lift off with a steam stripper, it also caused less damage to the wall under the paper in our older properties.

Loads of thanx to all of you who replied. I will get busy!
Steamer every time - we've done up several houses - takes off layer upon layer of paper with very little effort.
